What will the workshop look like on the day?
We run three high-energy sessions across one school day. Up to 96 students rotate through driving, racing and STEM skills work in groups during thier session. Typically every student will have 5 or 6 sessions on track.
Which topics and skills are covered?
Forces, motion, energy and design come to life through hands-on RC racing. Students also sharpen teamwork, communication and problem-solving—skills flagged in the Gatsby Benchmarks and the Essential Skills framework.
Where should we host it?
Any indoor hall or large classroom ideally about 20 × 10 m with a mains socket. We bring the track, cars, laptops and timing gear, presentations and materials; you supply the space, a plug socket and standard school supervision.
Who delivers the sessions?
Two DBS-checked RC Vision facilitators handle all instruction, tech and kit turnaround. Teachers stay present for post workshop follow up, and for safeguarding and behaviour support.
How is SEND provision handled?
Activities are fully adaptable. We use differentiated instructions and assistive tech where needed, and we’ll liaise with your support staff beforehand to tailor the day for every learner.
What are the learning outcomes?
Deeper understanding of key STEM concepts through experimentation
Increased confidence and engagement in science & engineering pathways
Clear links between classroom learning and real-world careers
Growth-mindset reflection and resilient problem-solving practice
How does this map to Gatsby Benchmarks?
Benchmark 4 – curriculum learning linked to careers via live engineering scenarios.
Benchmark 5 – direct encounters with motorsport-industry professionals leading each session.
What does it cost?
The one-day workshop fee is £850 (no VAT). We invoice after delivery; payment terms are 30 days.
What happens next?
We’ll email to confirm hall details and student year group and numbers.
Once confirmed, we send the full risk assessment and kit list.
Seven days before the workshop you’ll receive a reminder and final checklist.
