FOR SCHOOLS
Engineering habits of mind. For a future we can't predict but can prepare for.
RC Vision uses the excitement of RC car racing to develop Engineering Habits of Mind — the systematic, iterative thinking skills that transfer to every career, not just engineering. Every programme is hands-on, curriculum-linked, Gatsby-aligned, and independently evaluated.
THE CHALLENGE
The interest is there. The identity isn't — yet.
Young people from underrepresented groups aren't put off STEM because they lack interest or ambition. The research is unambiguous: they're interested. They aspire. Many outperform their peers in STEM subjects.
What stops them isn't a knowledge gap or an aspirations gap. It's an identity gap — a persistent, deeply felt sense that STEM spaces weren't built for people like them.
More talks, more leaflets, and more role models don't close that gap. Generic exposure doesn't close it either. What changes trajectories is consequential participation — repeated, hands-on experience of doing engineering and succeeding at it, in a space that was designed with them in mind from the start.
ThIS IS what RC Vision does.
