RC Vision Wins GWR Community Investment Grant

Working together with Great Western Railway to promote STEM engagement and career development

London, UK - July. 22, 2022. RC Vision today announces the award of grant funding to offer barrier-free access to RC Racing for a cohort of young people from underserved communities.

The GWR Community Investment Fund supports projects that have a community benefit or address an area of social need across our network.

"This grant enables us to invest in the equipment needed to introduce large numbers of young people to the world of RC racing. By targeting those from underserved communities who would not otherwise have the opportunity, we can use the fun of RC to tackle inequity in STEM, developing skills and opening doors to a world of opportunity," said RC Vision founder, Andy Hyde.

"The rail industry offers a wealth of career paths….it’s not just train drivers. We need more diversity in this key industry, people with the awareness, skills and opportunity to build maintain and run the transport infrastructure of the future. RC racing can play an important part in this future”.
