RC Vision Secures Reach Fund Grant From Access - The Foundation For Social Investment

Partnership With Big Issue Invest Leads To Funding To Provide Investment Readiness Support.

London, UK - Apr. 12, 2022. RC Vision today announces the receipt of grant funding to support the development of its social venture, aiming to tackle the lack of diversity in engineering and STEM careers.

The Reach Fund (Reach) provides grants to charities and social enterprises to help them raise social investment. It operates through a network of approved social investors known as 'Access Points', those investors can refer ventures they are supporting to Reach for assistance.

Big Issue Invest (BII), the multi-million-pound social investment business and sister to the world-famous magazine Big issue, has been working in support of RC Vision since October 2021. As an approved Access Point, BII partnered with RC Vision to secure the Reach Fund grant.

On awarding the grant, Sarah Le-May from the Reach Fund commented:

"We are pleased to have been able to support RC Vision with a Reach Fund grant. We very much hope that the support the grant will provide will help them to work towards their longer-term aims, and help more young people to develop STEM skills.."

"Generating opportunities for young people in minoritised communities to increase representation in the STEM sector is not only the right thing to do, but it is also vital to both the Motorsports industry and the UK economy. I'm delighted Big Issue Invest and the Reach Fund believe in our cause and the potential of RC Vision," said RC Vision founder, Andy Hyde.

"The funding will enable us to bring in essential paid expertise in areas we need help. This is a big step forward for us as a venture. There is much work to be done but this will give us a great kickstart."
